“She believed” is a personal favorite of mine because it is inspired by mental health. This old woman all her life afflicted pain on herself, struggling for many years. Although she went through her lowest she is still here. Her mind opens up, she starts to acknowledge life. You can still see her past, but she's here now because she believed in herself. The taped-on pieces were originally from a watercolor piece I made for my painting class in high school. When I started this new project of the woman, it started off as many ideas. If you look closely you may be able to see different things in the background. I hope this could relate to someone who also fights with mental health or it could also be for anyone who is struggling now and needs that sign to keep going.
